Four friends, concentrating more on music than their name, filled the streets of New York City with Rock and Roll in the late 70s. Attempting to come up with a name, nothing quite fit until late one night when the words, "Hey man, it's 11:21.. I gotta roll" were mentioned by Fred Maher, and the name was born.


Through the years 11:21 continues to stand for collaboration, community and songs about the human condition. 11:21 is the envelope or umbrella for any musicians or collaborators that work with Jeff on any of his material. Once you become aware of the numbers 11:21 …it will stay with you the rest of your life..

Meg Beattie Patrick

Meg Beattie Patrick is a songwriter, guitarist and vocal stylist who is able to deliver nuanced performances from the saucy to the sublime. She has performed live on-air at WFDU (Evan Toth broadcast), HomeGrownRadioNJ (Peter Marcketta, Todd Mills, Doug McWilliams broadcasts), and taped programs on TelePrompter Cable TV (Manhattan Cable - Mel Power Flower Hour broadcasts) and TV34-Montclair "Arts Up Close" (in the capacity of executive producer, host & performer). Meg is an Emeritus Board Member of the Montclair Arts Council and Outpost In The Burbs. Her labor of love EP "onemegofmemory" is now widely available on all streaming platforms.

Larry LaBeck

…is a Michigan native with several musical accolades including (three) Detroit Music awards, the latest being the 2021 Outstanding Americana Instrumentalist.  Labeck’s career has spanned the musical industry from Nashville to Detroit, a 2011 tour in the UK with the iconic Orbitsuns which included a show at the famous Glastonbury Festival in England. 


Labeck’s talents and vast understanding of guitar, dobro and how most in the industry identify him as, “the best pedal steel player in the area”, spans eclectic genres of musical categories from Alt-Country, Americana Country, Rock and Roll, Classic Rock, Jazz and Alternative.  Larry’s Pedal Steel knowledge and use of innumerous playing styles, elevates these music modalities in a way never before explored. This is not your typical twangy country music folks. 


Labeck has accompanied several bands throughout the decades with his artistry, and brings that certain something to the mix, elevating the music to another level.  A sought after session musician for studio work, playing, creating, producing and song writing, Larry still finds time to mentor students and others in the industry at a local music center.  Social.

Darin Curtis

Darin “DC” Curtis is originally from Windsor, Ontario, Canada and has been residing in the United States since 2013. He is an accomplished studio recording artist, songwriter, and touring musician. DC has been playing drums for over four decades, and has been performing live since the age of five. In his early years as a musician, Darin also played the tuba, performing regularly in parades, field shows, and marching band competitions across Canada and the United States. After playing both instruments, he chose to focus his energy on the drums, and he has continued to play them since.

 DC has shared the stage with several international recording artists including Warrant, Honeymoon Suite, Glass Tiger, April Wine, Tantric, Kim Mitchell, The Killer Dwarfs, Helix, and more. He also had the privilege of performing at the Detroit Grand Prix, opening for The B-52s.

He began his recording career in 1990 in London, Ontario. He was a songwriter, drummer, and backing vocalist for a London based original band called Aces Wild. During that time, the band released two original albums and toured extensively across Canada. DC also continued to perform live internationally at casinos, festivals, and other events on a regular basis with a popular Windsor/Detroit area tribute band.

 Through the course of his career as a musician, songwriting and recording original music have always remained a priority to Darin. In 2017, DC joined the Detroit based original pop/rock band called Elsie Binx. Since that time, Elsie Binx has released three new original songs with videos, a six song acoustic E.P. titled “Electric Baby”, 2 quarantine cover videos, and a full-length album in 2022 called “Madness”. Elsie Binx has toured extensively across the U.S., and has performed at numerous venues, including the iconic “Whisky A Go-Go” in Hollywood, California. Elsie Binx is currently working on songs for their 5th studio album.

Phil Steuer

Phil is a multi-instrumentalist, engineer, and producer from Detroit, Michigan. A lifelong music lover, Phil picked up the bass and guitar at age 14 and has played for numerous bands and participated in many recordings as a session musician. During this time, he became interested in the recording process and graduated from The Art Institutes of Michigan with a Bachelor of Science in audio production in 2017.


Phil is currently the bassist for the Detroit based band Elsie Binx, and works at The Sound Shop Studio as an engineer and studio musician. You can also catch him filling in on stage or running live sound for other local acts.





John Haddad

John has been playing bass for most of his life. Upon graduation from high school, John moved to Durham, NC to attend Duke University, where his musical horizons expanded with education in music theory, jazz history, performance, classical guitar and upright bass. He played in bands throughout college that included punk/new wave, progressive rock, and jazz.


It was then back to New York for medical school and residency, but John still found time to continue performing in original rock bands, playing in venues including CBGB’s, The Bitter End, Kenny’s Castaways, Great Gildersleeve’s, and others around the New York area. John has stuck with the instrument even while continuing to practice full-time as a radiologist in the prestigious Texas Medical Center in Houston, TX. John moved to Houston in 1993 after completing his medical training.


He is busier than ever, recording and performing with various groups covering a variety of styles. Current projects include the Deaton Lemay Project (Progressive), Devon Rismay (blues), Mark Zeus (singer/songwriter), Tooloji - a Tribute to TOOL, and Spritus - a Tribute to GHOST.  John is thrilled to reconnect with Jeff and Meg and be a part of the 11:21 Collective!



Jason Charboneau

Jason Charboneau is a multi-instrumentalist, Detroit area based musician. Jason has been in the local music scene for years as a sideman, session instrumentalist, orchestral cellist, and in many bands spanning numerous genres. He has jammed with Ethan Daniel Davidson, Jackie Stahl and the White Russians, Merge, Medicine Letter, and most notably John Lodge of the Moody Blues and the 10,000 Light Years band.


Jason studied music at Wayne State University in Detroit which gave him access to vast musical performance opportunities, both to perform as a hired musician, and as a spectator to embrace as many musical styles as he could. Recently, Jason also has stepped in front of the microphone as a front man, and in December of 2021 released his first solo album, “Troubled”. His album consists of 12 songs all composed and performed by Jason, with accompaniment by notable Detroit musicians.

Scott Culling

Scott Culling grew up outside of Detroit, Michigan. Scott started playing drums after seeing a marching band on TV - and not being able to take his eye off of the drummers. From then on it was a steady diet of rock, funk, jazz, progressive rock, reggae and everything in between. 


He studied music performance at Michigan State University playing in orchestra, jazz band and new music ensemble. Yes, he even was in marching band during the day, and doing top 40 and blues gigs at night. He soon became obsessed with reggae and ska, and started the world music band bop (Harvey) that recorded 4 CDs and toured the US and Canada over the next 12 years. 


Scott met Jeff when they both played with The Dirk Kroll Band, and have kept a musical kinship ever since. While they both went their separate ways, Scott is back playing Dirk's unique blend of power pop, while also performing with bop (Harvey). Additionally, he started a traditional 10 piece ska band called KILLER DILLER, and performs with the dance hall reggae band Detroit Riddim Crew, and garage rock trio The Maybe Tomorrows. 


Scott is having a blast playing 11:21 music which allows him to stretch out and create in a different format. He pulls in prog rock, jazz and folk references and uses world percussion instruments to augment the eclectic songs that Jeff writes. 


James Hellman

James Hellman is currently in charge of SIR Las Vegas and is a top notch stage manager and guitar tech for basically, anyone you can name. His work with Yes, Genesis, Sting, Sheryl Crow, Sarah Mclachlan, The Police, The Who, Carly Simon, Paul McCartney, James Taylor, Alanis Morisette, 11:21, Living Colour, Billy Idol, Billy Joel, Rush, Dave Mathews, Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page, Vernon Reid, Steve Stevens, Brian May, the Jonas Brothers and countless others fill out his resume. James has new material coming soon, as well as, new collaboration with 11:21.

Scott Weinberger

Since his 11:21 days, Scott Weinberger has gone onto produce "On the Case" with Paula Zahn.  Additionally,  he currently plays percussion with BRAND X.  Scott on Social.

Chris Peterson

Chris Peterson's audition with 11:21 was set-up through his friend the great Frank Levi (Guitar Amp Electronics Guru) when then drummer... now BRAND X Percussionist, Scott Weinberger departed. After Chris’ 11:21 adventures which included the band collaborating with the illustrious David Peel for some NYC shows, he continued working with Gordon Cotten and James Hellman. He join them as the New York City band Radio Active with Steve Bondy on Guitars and Mike Nappi's vocals. The band worked with Joe (Wildman) Berger and Bob Cutarella to rehearse, record and produce The RADIOACTIVE album recorded at Unique Studios NYC in 1985.


Chris worked again with Gordon Cotten (former Rat Race Choir, future John Entwistle keyboardist) to form Test Flight with Stanley Sheldon (former Tommy Bolin, Peter Frampton) on Bass, Chris Taylor on Guitar and Baron Raymonde playing sax. Later in the 80’s , Chris took the drum chair for 16 years with the NY/CT horn band Funkestra. Starting in 2005, Chris formed ARC an Emerson Lake and Palmer tribute project with Robert Fertitta on keyboards and Arthur Walker's vocals and playing on bass. This unit is currently recording and scheduling concerts for Summer 2021. Chris writes and records from his home studio, and looks forward to playing shows with local NY bands as The Vigilantes and Electric Beef. Chris is part of 11:21's current collaboration, and its album "...And Many More" to be released later this year.

Gordon Cotten

Gordon Cotten was an amazing keyboardist for 11:21. He continued his extensive musical resume to include working with Aztec Two-Step, Leisure Class, KISS Dynasty, Rat Race Choir, Red Stripe, RADIOACTIVE, The John Entwistle Band and 7stories. Gordon is currently located on the Mississippi Gulf Coast in the New Orleans area.

Fred Maher

After 11:21 days, Fred Maher has gone on to play with David Allen and Gong, Bill Laswell's Material, Richard Hell and the Voidoids and then Scritti Politti in 1984. He has participated in a number of other collaborations. Through the years he has put out many interesting and ground breaking Grammy Award winning albums, as well as being the producer for numerous artists' work - including Lou Reed’s New York.

Michael Beinhorn

Michael Beinhorn is a Grammy Award winning producer and has worked with Herbie Hancock, Soundgarden, Marylin Manson, Hole, Korn, Soul Asylum, Mew, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Ozzy Osbourne and many others. He is one of the most In-Demand Producers in the industry.  Currently he is Principal of Beinhorn Creative and author of the Best Selling Book "Unlocking Creativity".

Martin Bisi

Martin Bisi was an integral part of 11:21 for years. Martin is a successful producer, engineer, musician and is the owner of BC Studios in Brooklyn, NY. He has worked with Sonic Youth, Swans, Dresden Dolls, White Zombie, John Zorn, Iggy Pop as well as many new up-and-comers .

Mitch Gelber

Mitch Gelber was 11:21's keyboardist  from 1979  through 1982.
